The first Kingdom Death miniature I ever saw was the resin Gorm miniature.
The miniature design was clearly a surreal nightmare creature in the best way. The one thing that I found odd was that on the Kingdom Death website, Adam had written a description of the monster that included ecological details (I figure that a nightmare monster doesn’t need to have proper eating or reproduction habits). At this point, I feel that they’ve turned Kingdom Death into the sort of setting where expounding on those details makes sense even with the most surreal of their nightmare fuel creatures.
For this paintjob, I wanted to go with a ‘traditional’ grey gorm, but I really wanted to emphasize some veins around the eyes and eye-stalk.
This second gorm is a previous one that I painted- this one was for my chibi Kingdom Death set, so I wanted to approach the eyes the way that I usually do with chibi zombies.
