While I love many of the more traditional dresses that I’m asked to create for wedding cake toppers, I also really love it when I get to make something less traditional because it becomes more of an expression of the couple themselves.

The first couple I worked with requested a red dress for the bride (and also that she be a zombie) and it wasn’t so much later that I got to match a bride’s black dress.

I really loved making the translucent sheer effect on the sleeves for this bride. The video game controllers were also a fun touch.

This topper was one of the early ones I created where the bride wanted to be depicted as a zombie (and also with spider webs).

This bride chose a lovely black dress with interesting textures for me to recreate.
